Computer Scientist & Entrepreneur

Lindiwe Mutungamiri, born in Zimbabwe and now based in the United States, has always been a builder. From working in her mom's saloon as a child and earning a small salary to founding her first startup while still in college, there have been few seasons in her life when she wasn’t creating something or solving problems.

 After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ashesi University in Ghana, she went on to complete her Master’s in Computer Science at Arizona State University in the U.S. Her education and career have spanned multiple countries across continents, with a deep emphasis on cutting-edge technology, emerging markets, and innovation in healthcare.

 At ASU, Lindiwe was selected as the Class Speaker for the Mastercard Foundation’s 2025 graduating cohort and won the Inspiring Global Citizens Award. She was then inducted into the Arizona State University International Students and Scholars Center Hall of Fame.  During her time there, she also received a grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation, participated in the I-CORPS program, and was recognized by institutions such as the Tony Blair Institute, The Anzisha Prize, the Melton Foundation, and various startup accelerators.

 Lindiwe began eighty-nine inspired by her ASU Professor and Mentor to improve healthcare outcomes in underserved markets through practical, intelligent technology. What started with research into AI and health system inefficiencies turned into a company building passion to expand this work beyond research. She has raised investments, hired international teams, and built products from scratch, often wearing every hat from engineer to public speaker to operations lead.

She began leading teams at just 11 years old as a school volleyball captain and student athelete. Today, she leads with the same mix of intensity, care, and vision whether in the boardroom or a field-testing products and research.

Her ability to move between worlds ; technical and philosophical, global and local, theoretical and applied makes her a unique voice in the conversation around tech and society. She has spoken at conferences, appeared in media, and contributed to conversations on entrepreneurship, AI, and ethics. She’s equally comfortable breaking down neural networks as she is mentoring young entrepreneurs or discussing Plato over coffee.

Lindiwe’s greatest mission is in building companies that don’t just make headlines but move entire industries forward. Her vision for Lindiwe Mutungamiri Companies is modeled on simplicity, courage, and clarity: a group of businesses that solve problems creatively and execute at the highest level to improve our lives.

Beyond her work, Lindiwe is a lover of literature, ideas, silence, and nature. She has a deep fascination with pre-modern civilizations and the evolution of human thought, often drawing strategic insights from the past. In her quiet hours, she enjoys reading  historical fiction, philosophy, journaling, or tending to her houseplants; always missing her two dogs back home in Zimbabwe.

She believes in thoughtful growth, deliberate impact, and the importance of hard work to build things that matter.
